Elk River and Sherburne County's Drug Task Force coordinated an investigation that resulted in two arrests and removing 10 pounds of meth off the streets.
Investigators in late June learned that a significant amount of meth had been mailed to an Elk River residence and that a woman had taken possession of the package. Investigators conducted surveillance and witnessed two men pull into the parking lot of the residence. One of the men went inside and was seen leaving the residence with the package.
A traffic stop was conducted in which investigators recovered the 10 pounds of meth. 28-year-old Jessica Geraghty of Elk River and 24-year-old Ricardo Juaregui of Osseo were charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance.
