Tuesday afternoon, the official Granstburg Middle School Facebook page posted the following status:
"MS Parents: Earlier today, GMS went into a lockdown. This situation was based on a precautionary event brought to the attention of the Middle School office. Students and staff followed the appropriate procedure. There was no imminent danger to staff or students during this lockdown.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Morrin @ 715-463-2455"
The alert sent out to phones and on Facebook was sent at 2:07 PM.
WCMP attempted reached out to Mr. Morrin for any updates and he refused to release any information, stating that what was posted on Facebook is the only statement from the school.
