The city of North Branch will soon begin discussions in regards to ATV usage within the city during their meeting next month.
Concerns have been raised regarding ATV usage within the city with state law requiring cities to adopt an ordinance and permit process of their own.
Without one, ATVs can only operate on roads allowed by DNR statute which include trunk highways, county roads and state aid roads.
Council will gather information and discuss potential guidelines and restrictions during their April 12th meeting. If a majority of council wishes to move forward, a public hearing would be scheduled for a future date.
