New updates rolled last weekend about the I-35 road construction tearing through Pine County. Today, crews began paving operations in the area, adding further lane closures to the route.
While traffic restrictions have been present since April near the Snake River Bridge, new closures will lengthen the work zone and restricted-lane area. The two-lane, two-way configuration will remain in effect until September.
With Memorial Day weekend days away, major backups are expected for the area.
If you’re headed north this weekend, you can see up-to-the-minute road closures and delays by visiting MnDOT’s official website, which is accessible on mobile devices as well.
