Collision on Hwy 70 Leaves Two People with Life Threatening Injuries


A two car collision at the intersection of Highway 70 and Falcon Ave. in Rock Creek resulted in three people being transported to the hospital.

The crash occurred around 7:30 Friday night when a Chevrolet Equinox driven by Sarah Nicholson ran a stop sign and struck a Chevrolet Colorado driven by Charles Swanson.

Swanson, his passenger Nicholas Swanson, and Nicholson were transported by helicopter to North Memorial Hospital in the Twin Cities.

Nicholas Swanson and Sara Nicholson are being treated for life threatening injuries. The Minnesota State Patrol reports that neither Charles or Nicholas Swanson were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.

No drugs or alcohol are being reported as a factor in the collision.
