A North Branch Man has been killed in the second multiple vehicle crash on Highway 95 in a little over 24 hours.
According to the State Patrol, a Ford Fiesta was traveling Westbound Highway 95 in the right turn lane to go north on Hornsby Street. A Kia Soul was traveling eastbound on the highway when it slowed down to also turn north onto Hornsby when it was struck by a third vehicle, a Dodge Caliber.
The Dodge then pushed the Kia into the Ford Fiesta, and all three vehicles came to rest on the northeast corner of the intersection.
The passenger of the Kia Soul, 56-year-old David Winberg of North Branch, was killed in the crash. The driver of the Kia was also taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The crash caused Highway 95 to be closed for several hours.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
