One Dead, Six Injured following Crash in Kanabec County

A motorcyclist is dead, and six others are injured following a crash in Brunswick Township Saturday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a Toyota Camry, driven by a 30-year-old St. Paul man, was traveling northbound on Mahogany Street when it failed to stop at the intersection with Highway 70, and struck two Harley Davidson motorcycles.

One rider, a 42-year-old man from South Dakota, was declared at the scene. His passenger, a 40-year-old woman from South Dakota, was taken to the hospital for life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Camry was not injured, but two of the car's passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to North Memorial Hospital in Minneapolis.

The driver and rider from the second Harley were also taken to North Memorial. The rider, a 46-year-old woman from Braham, suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash.

The incident report says alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
