Polk County Wis. Sheriff's Office Renews Effort to Find Rose Marie Bly


In an endeavor to bring new light to a 10-year-old missing person’s case, the Polk County Sheriff’s office has released a video and set up a tip line to find Rose Marie Bly.

The 21-year-old mother of two was last seen heading to Cushing, Wisconsin from her home in St. Croix Falls on August 21st. 2009. Her car was discovered in the Village of Grantsburg a few days later.

Sheriff Brent Waak and his office said they want to bring new attention to this case with the video.

Writing on social media, "In an effort to bring this case back into the spotlight the Sheriff’s Office is taking a new approach in an effort to bring this case back into the news. The overall goal? Generate new conversation, and in turn, tips and information which will hopefully help us bring this case to a resolution."

It was released on Friday, August 23 and features gut-wrenching interviews with Rose's mother as she continues to look for her youngest daughter.

Over the last ten years, law enforcement has received over 200 tips and interviewed over 150 people. A tip line has been established with the hope that someone with the key to unlocking the case calls in.
